This counts fully toward the ParaYoga Master Training program.
According to ancient wisdom, the four aims of life: purpose, prosperity, pleasure and freedom provide the roadmap
to achieving your most fulfilling, joyful and meaningful life. Achieving all
four of these desires is the key to lasting happiness.
The Four Desires is a best-selling book, a workbook and meditation CD
, but it all began and continues to be, a powerful and truly life-changing process. A course like no other, applying the most profound insights into happiness and lasting fulfilment, the Four Desires process will transform you and your life––forever.

, will guide you through short yoga and meditation practices, yoga nidra (complete physical, emotional and psychic relaxation) sessions as well as yogic methods of vichara (
discernment, self-reflection), exercises to help you find answers to your life’s most vital questions. Mary will also provide you with the tools to ensure that you stay on your soul’s brightest path long after the workshop is over. In short, this weekend will empower you to fulfil your highest destiny.
The Four Desires is based on the ancient insight that your soul has four distinct desires…
Dharma—the desire for purpose, the drive to become who you are meant to be
Artha—the desire for the means (health, security, finances) to prosper materially
Kama—the desire for pleasures like intimacy, beauty, and love
Moksha—the desire for spiritual fulfilment and lasting freedom
The journey of learning to fulfil these four desires is how each of us creates our unique path to lasting happiness. And, at the same time, how we each achieve our most vibrant, creative and meaningful contribution to the world.

Mary Bruce is an internationally beloved yoga teacher and educator who creates sacred space and presence for her students. Mary is a torch bearer. A beacon of light. A rare guide that is breaking the mold of the modern climate of yoga. Her teachings light us up and help us manifest our deepest desires.
Through a deep connection with each of her students, Mary expresses and teaches in a way that has been described as “pouring the goddess” straight from her mouth. She has an organic, poetic language for her teachings so students find their own inner truth of yoga and living. By being gifted with the ability to be both rooted and wild, gentle and fierce, joyful and deep, Mary’s teaching style integrates all energies so students can truly intersect light and shadow, the god and goddess. Her gentle and calming attention help her students find comfort in the moments of discomfort and to build confidence while challenging the edges of their self limitations.
Mary teaches all levels with an emphasis on the philosophical teachings of yoga that remain true to her linage. You will not find her classes “dumbed down” or diluted. She trusts her students' ability to understand the essence of yoga. While she pays honor to what has been passed onto her, she also stays true to herself and most importantly- true to each student, meeting them all exactly where they are. She guides her classes through all layers of yoga- from the flesh to the bone to the soul. She brings attention to detail (alignment), awareness of breath (pranayama), connection with divine source (bhavana), intelligent sequencing (vinyasa krama), as well as, Ayurveda, visualization, meditation, mantra and more to each and every one of her classes.
Her wish for each student is that they practice expressing who they truly are. To radically embody that truth. And that their truth bring greater peace, to themselves, to this world. A yoga teacher since 1997, Mary considers herself a forever student and began her journey in 1994 with Julie Crutchfield at Scottsdale Community College in Arizona. She was so inspired by what she learned with Julie she pursued higher yoga education which led her to become a 500 hour E-RYT Yoga Alliance Teacher.
Since 1998 Mary Bruce has studied Sri Vidya Tantra in the tradition of the Himalayan Masters. After over 2000 hours of training, she achieved the highest levels of certification and is internationally recognized as one of the most prominent female teachers in the tradition. Mary is a teacher of teachers, having led Teacher Training Programs internationally for over 15 years. She is known for her ability to transmit transformative teachings with clarity and compassion. As a certified I AM Yoga Nidra Facilitator and Restorative Teacher (certified by Judith Lasater) who is also skilled in the application of Universal Alignment principles she brings unique and well-rounded expertise to her classes and training. Currently Mary studies with Indu Arora and considers her to be her most important teacher to date.
