Piriformis syndrome and healing through yoga

Being in the yoga scene for a while, inevitably you start to hear stories of people using yoga to heal injuries that would have traditionally been solved by surgery. It is true, yoga can be transformationally healing. The sciatic nerve is one of these delicate areas of our body that can easily become irritated, from sports, life situations (like pregnancy!), or even your body’s anatomy. In a recent Daily Bandha post, some clarifying light is shined on this area of the body. From a basic description of Piriformis syndrome and the causes, to clear illustrations and even some videos!
