Amani's journey started after discovering a love for yoga at a young age. Her self discovery and path brought her to her first yoga teacher training at the Asheville Yoga Center. In 2002, under the guidance of Stephanie Keach, Amani completed her first teacher training.
Through the ongoing and energizing passion for yoga and teaching Amani completed ongoing training (E-RYT 500) with an emphasis in the "Classics" track. Learning sparks more desire for growth and in August 2015 she completed her Ayurvedic Wellness Counselor certification.
Amani's belief is that yoga is lived off the mat as well and that philosophy drives a desire to serve and a central passion of empowering women. This passion fist materialized in 2009 with the creation of Amani's Prenatal Yoga Curriculum Program & Certification. This Prenatal program is currently offered throughout the Charlotte Area.
Amani's joy of teaching includes classes specializing in Hot Flow, Yin, Prenatal, and meditation. Her unique light and radiating energy inspries her teaching and sets a unique energy that keeps her students coming back for more. Her yoga expertise and philosophy make her classes uplifting, inspiring and keep students growing in their own journeys.
Classes are mindfully designed for providing challenging and light-hearted sequences while fostering knowledge for the core teachings of the Eight Limbed Path of Yoga.

Get to know me:
WHAT FIRST BROUGHT YOU TO THE MAT?
Originally when I thought about teaching yoga, my first child was 6 months old, and I was looking for something I could do on the side, that I would like and would get me out of the house! Right around that time I saw a car down the block from me that had a magnet advertising a yoga studio, and I started taking classes there, that was my first time taking studio classes. About 6 weeks later I got a phone call, the teacher had an emergency and asked me to sub, and that was that! Almost a year later we moved to SC, and I was accepted into Asheville Yoga Center’s TT, that was 2002. Now, I know that teaching yoga and Ayurveda is my path, my dharma, my life!
WHAT INSPIRES YOU TO TEACH?
The possibility to become fully awake and alive! Everyone is capable of linking breath and movement; of connecting to grace and spirit; of becoming a light in the dark.
