I live, practice and teach yoga on Staten Island, the often forgotten 5th borough of New York City. I'm passionate about the human body, how it functions, and how to optimally bring out bodies in and out of postures in our yoga practice. I've been practicing yoga for half my life, and teaching for the last 10 years.

DESCRIBE YOUR UNIQUE VALUE ADD AS A TEACHER. WHAT ABOUT YOUR STYLE MAKES YOU STAND OUT?
I'm fascinated by the human body its intricacies and idiosyncrasies. My style is informed by study of anatomy, movement and a healthy dose of nerdiness.
TELL US ABOUT YOUR INTENTION IN BEING A PART OF THE LOCAL COLLECTIVE OF GATHERYOGA?
My intention is to connect with people I wouldn't otherwise encounter in my day to day life here in New York!
WHAT FIRST BROUGHT YOU TO THE MAT?
I first started practicing when I was 16 years old – a yoga studio opened a few blocks from my high school and I decided to check it out one day. Yoga has been a part of my life since that first day. Initially, I hoped to build the perfect "yoga body" but ultimately the physical practice was what lured me in. I continued to practice because keeping my physical body strong and flexible became only one part of my yoga practice.
WHAT INSPIRES YOU TO TEACH?
Helping people to feel their best physically and emotionally is a huge inspiration for me. My intention is to have people walk out of the practice space with a smile on their face and feeling freedom in their bodies and hearts.
